In day to day life we here word Information Technology, and the biggest question raise in our mind is, what is information technology? We some time connect it with computer and think everyone who is associated with computer is an IT man. 

You will find a lot of definitions of information technology on many websites, but According to detailed analysis of the field I drew a definition of my own.

Information technology is the use of computers to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data and informations.

The word Information Technology is used as the new threading word for computers and their networking but it also encompasses other information sharing technologies, like TVs and smartphones. Finally, IT refers to anything related to computing technology.

There are three essential elements of Information technology

Now in today's world IT is the widest used sector in the world. IT is used in almost each and every possible sectors of the world but few important sectors I'm gonna mention here;

  • Telephones 
  • Radio
  • Software designing for Word sheet and spreadsheet

We are surrounded by the gadgets best on technology and every technology works over some predefined and some commanded information. We are using facebook, instagram, whatsapp, tweeter, blogger, tumbler, orkut, snapchat, youtube tiktok, vigo, We are playing online and offline video games as temple run, candy crush, pubg mobile, call of duty, freefire, march of empire, clash of clan, they all are based on information technology and designed by some IT men. 


As I told you above about the uses of information technology in today's world, you must feel the hunger of world for new invention and modifications in their existing technic world. Advantages and Disadvantages of IT 
1. Advantages of Information Technology 
Information technology has a lot of advantages in every field in data communication, social networking, and business efficiency. By access to information technology the production selling and supply rate increase by 60% (worldwide). Some important advantages are listed and described below : 

* Protecting and Securing Information : IT storage systems are being created to hold the information that is being shared over the internet and internal intranets. Secure maintenance and of customer and company files is vital to the integrity of the company. Virtual vaults keep information safe by limiting access to a select few. Security systems are put in place to protect your electronic information and keep it from being wiped out or damaged during a system breakdown. Hackers are also kept at bay with intense securities.

* Remote Control and networking access : When a company has implemented an information technology system, many times employees can then access the company’s network electronically. This enables employees to work from home or while on the road. This gives the employees more flexibility and they are more productive because they can still work when not in the office.

* Communication System : Communication in every aspect of man to man interaction is very important. In the world of business, good communication is imperative to the success of the company. Emailing, video conferencing and chat rooms and other communication means allow easier sharing of ideas between employees and supervisors as well as employees and clients. 

2. Disadvantages of information technology

* Uses and Maintainance Cost : Setup costs for implementing an information technology system within a home or business can be very costly. Software can training can also take another big bite out of the budget. Information technology systems, just like any other equipment, need to be maintained and repaired from time to time. But there are also updating and upgrading costs associated with IT systems. 

* Hacking issues : When information is stored electronically, there are more chances of having security breaches. Hackers are evolving along with technology and they are never up to any good. Security systems that were state-of-the-art last year are now out-of-date and in desperate need of upgrading. To protect company data, a security specialist should be kept on staff.

Conclusion 
Going through all the above given information you must have understood that there is no limit of information technology. And if we separate ourself ourself from technology we will get back to stone age. 
Technology is nothing without humans because we are the one who operates technology, but technology made our work much easier in interest
